A to Z Challenge – I is for Indie #atozchallenge

Yep, by Indie, I mean the independent author. In the era of self-publishing, we are seeing more and more authors that have circumvented the traditional publishing route and gone it on their own. No agents, no high-priced publishinghouse editors, just the author and their work. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Now that has been a topic for much debate in the industry and I will try to touch on some points on both sides of the coin.
