My name is Lisa LaVergne-Pottgen. I can be contacted in the following manners if you would like to request a review of your book. However, please be advised that I am significantly backlogged with reviews and it will take me a couple of months to get through what is already on my plate, so I may not respond in as timely a manner as I would like.

I started blogging about books because everyone around me got sick of hearing what I had to say. Now, I have a global audience, and I love helping to promote books I enjoy.
Genres I enjoy:
Horror
Mystery/Suspense
Thrillers
Historical Fiction
Fantasy
General Fiction
Romance if it has a plot or also falls in one of the above categories.
The only type of book I WILL NOT review is erotica. This is a personal preference based on the fact that some readers are under the age of 18 and I do not want to have anything in the too adult category on my blog. My kids might read this some day! I may have, in the past, posted about an erotica book, but moving forward, I would prefer not to have too much in the realm of erotica on my page, unless the content is VERY mild.
I have a very hard time doing children’s books because I have trouble relating to them. I will feature one a month if it really grabs me and has a good story to it, but those features will be limited.
I am willing to review self published authors, indie authors, small press authors, and large press authors, authors of all kinds.
If you want to request that I review a book, you can contact me at the email address above, or via the Facebook link. I am also on Twitter with a username of @destinyisntfree. I am on Goodreads, and my profile there can be reached by clicking on the widget to the right.
I will attempt to review books as quickly as possible, but please understand that I do this in my free time, am not compensated in any way for reviews, and I do have a day job. As such, I will try to review your book as quickly as possible, but sometimes life happens. I currently try to have reviews posted within 90 days of receiving a book, but I will make every effort to accommodate for upcoming release dates and deadlines. I am willing to accept ARCs or non-ARC books, and occasionally will buy a book to review if it really grabs me. I will accept these in either e-book form or in print editions.
Regarding print editions, I will provide my mailing address upon request.
My reviews will be honest, as that is what readers are going to expect of me.
I am currently considering and accepting review copies in all categories except erotica, and will try to respond to every request in as timely a manner as possible.
I am willing to post additional content, such as author interviews and allow author guest posts.
I am willing to do giveaways, but at this time cannot afford to provide the copy myself, so if you are willing to provide a giveaway copy, I am willing to facilitate that.
I currently have roughly 60 direct blog followers via Linkyfollowers, direct email followers and Networked blogs. My Facebook page has roughly 700 likes, and I have currently approximately 75 twitter followers. This page is currently averaging over 1000 pageviews a month.
**DISCLAIMER** I am not compensated in any way for posting reviews. I do receive a very small commission if a book is purchased through a link I post on my site. You are free to ignore my links, however, and use your own methods of searching for books if you prefer. I will never require anyone to buy through my links.
I comply with all FTC guidelines, and readily post reviews of my own free will. I am not compensated for these reviews at any time, and will include in my post at the time if I received the copy from the author or if I purchased it myself.
Dear Publisher/Publicist, Our review site/blog/organization is now accepting digital galleys/ARCs for review. Our preferred method of receiving e-galleys is through NetGalley, where we are a listed Review Organization Accepting NetGalley Titles. NetGalley allows us to read on our favorite devices, and saves us time and money on shipping to our reviewers. If you use NetGalley, I encourage you to send us direct links to your titles on NetGalley (“widgets”) if you want us to consider your titles for review. Please also consider approving our requests for your titles in the NetGalley catalog—all our reviewers have indicated that they are affiliated with our site/blog/organization in their NetGalley Bio. Once you approve our requests and we review your title, we will be sure to send you a notification of our review back through the NetGalley site. If you don’t already use NetGalley, check it out! Many publishers use it to offer secure digital galleys and press kits to their own media contacts as well as the existing NetGalley community of professional readers, reviewers, bloggers, etc. We look forward to reviewing and promoting your titles!
I would be delighted if you could review one of my four novels, particularly ‘Prince Korasoff´s Road Map’ (a love story with unusual twists) or ‘The Undiscovered Country’, my latest, a ghost story told by the ghost. I can send you a paperback or ebook, whichever you prefer.
Please feel free to send me a review request. I am trying to get to them in the order they come in. Please send an email to lisapottgen@justanotherrabidreader.com
Lisa,
Although the next is started.
Hope you’ve received a copy of Global Anger by now. I would enjoy knowing if you have scheduled time to read and review the thriller novel. My first, so a bit anxious.

Yes, I have, and it is coming up within the next few weeks. I had a nasty stomach bug go through my house in the last week or so and then had some prior engagements that I had to attend to this week regarding my children. Thank you for contacting me.
