Nothing can stop Raine Cooper when she wants something…
Raine finally knows that her gorgeous neighbor, Torin St. James, is a legend straight out of Norse mythology, and that her feelings for him are strong. Torin is crazy about Raine too, breaking the one rule he lives by: Never fall for a mortal. The problem is he no longer remembers her, his memories erased by Norns—Norse destiny deities—to punish her for defying them. So Raine comes up with a plan...
She will make Torin forget his one rule a second time and fall in love with her all over again. But she quickly learns that well-laid plans do not work when dealing with deities and supernatural beings. Desperate, Raine makes choices that could not only tear her and Torin further apart, but lead to the destruction of everything and everyone she loves. The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended December 31, 2012.
I didn’t want the hop to come to end, and with Jennifer’s permission, I’ll relaunch the Book Blogger Hop on Friday, February 15th, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt just like before. The hop’s purpose will remain the same as it will give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This is my first time participating in this particular hop, and I am excited to be a part of it. This week’s topic is how much time do you spend each day on your blog and how much time do you spend each day reading.
The short answer to the first part is not enough and the second part is too much!
Let me expound on that a bit, haha.
I should spend a bit of time each day working on the blog, scheduling posts, cleaning things up, but I don’t. I am really, really bad about that. And then, I get into a reading slump, and you see things get all quiet and there will be no posts for like, a month or more. If I spent a little time each day working on things, that wouldn’t happen because the content would be all scheduled and ready to go. I am participating in Bloggiesta this week, so hopefully that will help me get into a better rhythm, and I signed up for a blogging mastermind group, so hopefully that will help me stay accountable.
As to the reading part, I tend to read when I should be doing other things. But then at other times, I can’t seem to read at all. Lately it seems to come in spurts and it is hard to find that book that really hooks me and I end up re-reading a lot of my favorites to get the juices going again. I need to learn to DNF books so that I can move on to the truly good books again!
What about you guys? How much time do you spend reading and blogging? Has your reading and blogging life become all consuming? Some days I think mine has!
Feature and Follow Friday is a Blog Meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee’s View. The basic concept is that each week, there is a post prompt, and we each post on that topic. And each week, a blogger is featured on the host’s blogs. The point of this whole thing is to help grow followers and to generally create a sense of community and we all get to know each other and follow each other, et cetera. There is a more elaborate list of rules on the hosts’ sites if you want to read more specifics! Read more...(449 words, 6 images, estimated 1:48 mins reading time)
