Well, Armchair BEA brings us the single largest hot button topic in the book blogger world today.  And why wouldn’t they?  This is one of the reasons we gather, isn’t it?  We get together to talk about all of these things in a way that we are not able to throughout the year.  It is a time to get our opinions out on the table

#ArmchairBEA: Let’s Discuss Blogger Development

Now, I know that some people may be confused as to what “blogger development” even means.  Well, the geniuses behind ArmchairBEA have given us this following set of questions to give us an idea about what to talk about:

The purpose of the conference is to foster “blogger development”–and clearly, that development can go in a variety of directions! Today, we’re inviting you to talk about your approach. Have you branched out into your community? Do you partner with other bloggers? Have you gone “pro” or tried generating some income through your blog? If you’re a long-term blogger, how has your online personality developed over the years?

#ArmchairBEA: The Classics

I am way late in the day in posting this, but today has been crazy nuts, so hopefully some people will still see this and stop by.

Let me start off by saying I love classics.  I am a HUGE, yes huge Dickens fan.  I have read nearly every one he has ever put out.  I think my favorite, if I had to pick, is David Copperfield.  Would you believe me if I told you that the first time I read David Copperfield, and the unabridged version, mind you, I was about 9 years old.  I think.  Maybe 8.  I was in 3rd grade.  So I think that was 8.  I was hooked.  A friend of my parents had handed it to me as a joke when I complained I had no books to read.  I devoured it.  In less than 48 hours.  I was hooked.  I loved every blistering word of it and have been a lover of Classics ever since.

You know that massive Book Blogger Conference that they have in New York every year that is the awesomeness that is BEA?  Yep, that’s the one.  The one those of us too poor to go watch with rapt delight the recap posts the beginning of June every year to see what we missed out on and get all weepy eyed?  Well, Armchair BEA was created for people just like us who want to join in the fun but can’t ACTUALLY be there.
